Where to Eat, Stay, and Play in Macon, GA

Before your Coliseum event starts, or after it ends, make sure to spend some time exploring Macon’s cultural and musical history. Dining

  • The Rookery – A Macon institution with a menu inspired by Macon’s musical heritage, focused on gourmet burgers and delicious shakes
  • Kudzu Seafood – To satisfy your craving for fresh seafood loaded with flavor, look no further than Kudzu
  • Kinjo Kitchen + Cocktails – For Asian-inspired comfort food in a warm and inviting setting

Before your Coliseum event starts, or after it ends, make sure to spend some time exploring Macon’s countless historical, cultural, and musical history.  Macon has more historical sites on the National Register of Historic Places than any other city in Georgia. There are museums galore, including the Museum of Arts and Sciences, the Harriet Tubman African American Museum, and the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame Museum.

If you prefer to spend your downtime browsing the latest fashions, checking out new artists, or flipping through the selections at a funky local record shop, Macon’s ever-growing downtown scene offers boutiques, galleries, and specialty shops galore.
