The Macon Centreplex facilities including the Macon Coliseum, Macon City Auditorium, and Macon Amphitheater hire on a rolling basis as needed to fill open, part-time positions. Please complete the job application through this link for the following positions.

Positions for Hire:

Box Office Staff:
Box Office Clerk/Ticket Seller – an on-call per event employee who is responsible for receiving and processing the ticket counter, phone, and mail ticket orders using various aspects of the ticketing system in a timely manner at the Macon Coliseum and Macon City Auditorium. This employee follows policies and procedures for accurate cash handling and ticket reconciliation at the close of each shift. This employee is responsible for providing accurate information to the general public, addressing any concerns, and is committed to superior customer service.

Parking Lot Supervisor/Parking Lot Attendant – an on-call per event employee who is responsible for the operations of the parking lot in an accurate and timely manner at the Macon Coliseum. This employee is responsible for providing accurate information to the general public, addressing any concerns, and is committed to superior customer service.

Event Staff:
Security – security staff work in unison to keep our staff, patrons, and clients safe. Job duties include but are not limited to: building patrol, crowd control, wanding/bag checking at main entrance, guarding doors and restricted areas, among other duties. A background in security, law enforcement, or military is preferred but not required. Many of these security positions require standing for long periods of time.

Ushers & Ticket Takers – among the first staff patrons encounter, these positions require customer-oriented and friendly people who will make a positive first impression. These employees are required to have knowledge of the building and its services to accurately answer patron questions and provide a safe and enjoyable environment. Must be able to handle large groups of people and maintain control of assigned sections or areas to prevent or correct any trouble situations.

Operations Staff:
Changeover/Set-Up – this employee has experience working in an industrial environment, willing to learn how to set up for concerts, trade shows, private events, conventions, and sporting events. This position requires physical and demanding work, the ability to lift 40lbs, and often work through the night. Must have a valid drivers license.

Housekeeping – this employee has experience in industrial cleaning or cleaning of commercial spaces. Employee is responsible for cleaning restrooms, windows, lobby spaces, offices, seating areas, dressing rooms, and all public spaces at the Macon Coliseum and City Auditorium. Must be able to stand long hours and walk up and down stairs.

Food & Beverage Staff:
Bartenders – this employee mixes and serves alcoholic beverages to patrons age 21 or older. Responsible for verifying the identification of each patron to insure legal age of consumption. Previous bartending experience required.

Cashier – this employee handles cash and credit cards for food and beverage purchases. Previous cash handling experience required.

Cook – This employee prepares cooking ingredients for a variety of foods in a safe manner. Will undertake basic cooking duties such as cooking items on the grill/stove top, deep fat fryer, microwave oven, etc. to prepare simple dishes like hamburgers, hot dogs, grilled chicken, etc. Maintains a clean kitchen. Previous kitchen experience required. ServSafe Certification required.

Food Service Worker – this employee prepares and serves concession items to patrons, including food and beverage. Supports concession teams as needed. ServSafe Certification required.

Stand Lead/Supervisor – this employee oversees all operations in the concession stand, including adequate staffing, appropriate inventory of product for each event, food preparation, and cashiers. May supervise multiple stands. Previous lead/supervisor experience required. ServSafe Certification required.

Warehouse/Runner – this employee retrieves and delivers goods/products as needed before, during, and after events. This employee may work both in the warehouse and concession stands.
