Macon Learn to Skate Class Options:
SNOWPLOW SAM 1 (Ages 4-6) Discover, Learn, and Play
The Snowplow Sam level is designed to help the preschool age skater develop preliminary coordination and strength necessary to maneuver on the ice. These levels allow pre- school children to become comfortable on the ice. Marching, gliding and dipping on the ice all on their own are skills they will accomplish in this class!
BASIC SKILLS 1 (Ages 7+) FUNdamentals
The “Basic Skills” are the fundamentals of the sport. This level of the program introduces the fundamentals moves: marching, forward skating, backward skating, stops, edges and swizzles! Skaters will gain basic knowledge of balance and coordination needed to advance to more specialized areas of the sport.
ADULT 1 (Ages 16+)
The Adult curriculum is designed for the beginner adult skaters who wish to improve their skating skills. Participation in the program will help promote physical fitness and improve bal- ance and coordination while teaching proper skating techniques. This is an exciting program for adults who look to skating as an enjoyable part of a fit and healthy lifestyle.
