Learn to Skate – Semester 2

Learn to Skate Semester 2 is here! Classes meet Tuesdays in March from 5pm – 6pm at the Macon Coliseum. Please note, there will NOT be class on Tuesday, March 8 or 15.
You can sign up for all three sessions to get the most out of your Learn to Skate experience, or you can sign up once the sessions start for a prorated price.
SNOWPLOW SAM 1 (Ages 4-6) Discover, Learn, and Play
The Snowplow Sam level is designed to help the preschool age skater develop preliminary coordination and strength necessary to maneuver on the ice. These levels allow pre-school children to become comfortable on the ice. Marching, gliding and dipping on the ice all on their own are skills they will accomplish in this class!
BASIC SKILLS 1 (Ages 7+) FUNdamentals
The “Basic Skills” are the fundamentals of the sport. This level of the program introduces the fundamentals moves: marching, forward skating, backward skating, stops, edges and swizzles! Skaters will gain basic knowledge of balance and coordination needed to advance to more specialized areas of the sport.
ADULT 1 (Ages 16+)
The Adult curriculum is designed for the beginner adult skaters who wish to improve their skating skills. Participation in the program will help promote physical fitness and improve bal-ance and coordination while teaching proper skating techniques. This is an exciting program for adults who look to skating as an enjoyable part of a fit and healthy lifestyle.
